The Association is pleased to announce the four 2008 recipients of a Transportation Corps Regimental Association $1,000 scholarship.  The selection Board met April 8, 2008 in the Regimental Room at the Fort Eustis Club to review applications from nine talented young adults who have family members in good standing in the Association. 

For the review process, all applications had the names of the applicant and their Association family member blacked out and assigned a random identification letter.  The Board was made up of five members of the Executive Council who had no direct relationship with any applicant.  Separate evaluation sheets with specific evaluation areas and point values were completed for each applicant by each Board member in private.  These were then rank-ordered for each Board member and then consolidated for all Board members using only that relative ranking to identify our scholarship recipients. 

Award checks made out to the college or university which these students are or will be attending will be presented at the Association general membership meeting on August 1, 2008 at 1400 hrs at the Fort Eustis Club.  All Members are encouraged to attend the award ceremony, as well as to review the Association web site for information about the Scholarship Program and application procedures for next year.
